Creating Playful Messages

Right now is a perfect time to teach your kids to create thoughtful messages. This week is Teacher Appreciation Week and Nurse Appreciation Week, plus Mother’s Day is Sunday! It’s also an ideal time to teach children about gratitude. They will have fun making playful messages for our essential workers, too.

We have some great “art projects” that you can place on your window, door, fence or garage door. Not only will you put a little beauty out in the world, but your delivery folks and neighbors will appreciate it! You can also take time to call a friend or relative who might be lonely for a virtual play date.

Here are a few ideas to get you started:

Did you know that our inclusive playground in Malibu, California is a First Responders’ them? This community wanted to pay homage to all the frontline workers and features a police cruiser, fire truck and station, and lifeguard stand. Learn more at inclusionmatters.org. All of us at Inclusion Matters by Shane’s Inspiration are grateful to all our essential workers who have courageously served during COVID-19.
