Thank you for being a part of our 28th Annual Run, Walk & Roll presented by Wells Fargo. The event took place on Sunday, September 14th at Shane’s Inspiration Playground in Griffith Park, Los Angeles – and what an unforgettable day it was!
A Galaxy of Guests:
A huge hit with participants of all ages were our special guests from The 501st Legion and The Rebel Legion — global Star Wars costuming organizations made up of dedicated fans who volunteer their time to support charities like ours. Thank you for bringing the Force to our event!
Inspiring Emcees:
The Opening Ceremony was co-emceed by ABC7 Eyewitness News Reporter Josh Haskell and Inclusion Matters Co-Founder & NCIS Executive Producer/Head Writer Scott Williams. Their energy, passion, and heartfelt words truly set the tone for a meaningful day for our 600+ participants!
Community Spirit:
A big shout-out to West Coast University Center for Graduate Studies for starting the day with a high-energy warm-up, and to the incredible Disney VoluntEARS, whose spirit at the Start/Finish Line was absolutely contagious!
We were also thrilled to have over 150 volunteers join us to help the event run smoothly — we couldn’t have done it without you! Huge thanks to all the amazing groups who showed up in force, including:
National Charity League Los Angeles, Whole Foods Market Sherman Oaks West, Notre Dame High School, Cathedral High School, Pali High, and AAA.
Making an Impact:
Thanks to our generous sponsors and incredible peer-to-peer fundraisers, we raised over $180,000! These vital funds support our free community outreach and educational programs that unite children of ALL abilities through PLAY!
