How to be a Great Buddy

Inclusion Matters by Shane’s Inspiration creates inclusive playgrounds and educational programs for children of ALL abilities. We then support children on how to meaningfully connect with one another and be a good buddy. Our B.U.D.D.Y. poster provides 5 tips for including everyone in the play!*

Quite often a first time buddy experience on our inclusive playground can lead to lasting friendships. After a field trip with Inclusion Matters by Shane’s Inspiration, a teacher of special education said, “My students have never had as many friends as they do now.” She shared that their typical peers are always including them on campus and always acknowledging them by name with hugs and high -fives.

Did you know that our Teens For Social Inclusion, along with our staff, provide a weekly 30 min. Live Zoom session for our friends and families? It’s called Fun Fridays because our teens make it so! Join us for a whole lot of “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom” fun this Friday, May 29th at 4pm! RSVP to [email protected] to get the Zoom Link.

* Special thanks to Wells Fargo and Paul Hastings for their generous support of our education program, Together, We Are Able. Thanks to these two companies, we have been able to distribute our poster and program to hundreds of schools.
