ABOUT MIRACLE LEAGUE LOS ANGELES
Miracle League Los Angeles is the first of its kind organization in the Los Angeles area. We are a full 501c3 dedicated to providing a life changing experience for children with special needs by allowing them to play baseball on a field built specifically for them. With the support, passion and generosity of our partners at the Los Angeles Dodgers
Foundation, the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation, the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks, Security Benefit and the LA84 Foundation we have been honored to be part of the creation of Los Angeles’s first universally accessible Dodgers Dreamfield at Baldwin Hills Recreation Center. Eventually we hope to have 10 full teams with at least 12 players on each team. Each team will have their own distinct uniform and hat, and all of the players will get a special award, and trophy at the end of the season. In our first season we also teamed up with our partners, other charities and the local community to provide the kids and their families special events, guests and opportunities off the field and between seasons as well.
Miracle League Los Angeles is dedicated to enhancing not only the lives of our players and volunteers, but our entire community by;
Providing children with special needs the chance to play baseball regardless of the physical and/or mental barriers that would prevent them from doing so in a traditional league.
Teaching understanding and inclusion by allowing children from the community to interact and build lifelong bonds with special needs children in ways that they might not otherwise have the opportunity to.
Promoting community support and involvement with our league, our players and their families.
Additionally, no child will ever be turned away due to their family’s inability to pay. Financial aide will be made available every season to cover any and all costs for players that they are unable to cover. In our first season 30% of our families received full financial aide to pay for their participation.
